Dear friends, veterans, and community leaders,
On behalf of Captain Joshua Birch, our Commanding Officer, I would like to invite you to the training center on Friday, September 11th for a short ceremony. At 0800, we will gather at the command building to observe colors and provide a few remarks in remembrance of that fateful day. After that, many of our staff and students will be walking our infamously steep Texas Hill three times to simulate the thousands of feet of height of the World Trade Center Towers. You are welcome to walk or watch, as well.
If you are an early riser, you are welcome to arrive early for a very affordable breakfast in the galley prior to the remembrance. Information on our galley can be found at Training Center Petaluma Galley. Breakfast is served until 0715 if you are interested, and you are able to sit and enjoy your breakfast and coffee after the line closes.
If you believe you can make it, please let me know and I can send information about arrival, parking, and meeting locations/time, etc. Base access requires a REAL ID, which you should have if you have a somewhat recently issued driver’s license or passport.
I look forward to seeing you and welcoming many of you back!
